Portable Moving Units Nj Where Do I Go For Help With A Landlord Problem?

Where do I go for help with a landlord problem? - portable moving units nj

Our A / C did not work for 52 days. (from the day we moved), we have several questions should be addressed. In mid-July to Denver in the mid-90s with temporary workers. Our apartment is never below 86 degrees. We can not sleep. Now our landlord is on vacation. So I called the secretary and her boss is to install a "temporary portable" tomorrow. I think it does not matter.

You need a report to the Housing Authority to make in your area, if) available (Denver, I found the following information:

1401 Mariposa St.
Denver, CO 80204
(303) 607-9213

- Housting is the work of the authorities to ensure that the owners of their unity in a way which is the health and welfare of the tenants not affected, will receive ... and protect many other things that you take.

Test Denver Housing Information Referral Service:
Info-Service Housing Referral (HIR) provides information for tenants and owners a variety of housing problems. HIR line 303.831.1935.

Almost everywhere, the owner has the obligation to keep the premises in habitable condition. Upon notification by the landlord of the problem, have a limited time to solve the problem. If you are not yet solved, you can have a number of options available - I ask people in the direct line of HIR, what they are, I believe, is 52 days long enough. Good luck.

That is what I ... Calling the mayor's office and the phone number for the department, the landlord and tenant shall ask. Call and find out what your rights. Check your contract to see whether air conditioning is included in your rental agreement. Get some big fans of the old box $ 20 each (probably less if you look around) and put it in windows and window fans. Blow them directly to you when you sleep. We lived in New York in the 70s and 80s, and almost nobody had air conditioning then. If it is very hot, take a bath or go to the mall.

You have done your due dillegence to solve the problem, then why do not you move - do not have the resources to try to meet the rent, if you have a question to the right A / C problem, unless you have . If you move is worse than the C / A? Problem should let you put up. When things are at their worst, you can always try a professional set, enter a receipt, then deducting the rent are in the next month. Be prepared for a fight though.

"I think it does not matter.

You have to wait and see.

= Buy a fan that helps if they copupled with each unit of the AC.

unlikely to mid-90s will participate in the cause of justice, Heck is a cold day here - usually about 110

Heads up - in the case of Denver, it is best to check the heating system now while it's still time to fix it!

Owners try '/ tenant court .. File an application to court ... but as you said the secretary and the head is to install a. ..
if installed air conditioning, indicating that the owner tries to circumvent this problem .. But kept this to ensure that the AC is fixed / what I think you are ..

Court will rent to the landlord. To wait, however, whether the situation before action is resolved.

First, it is necessary to check the laws of your state landlord to Tennant. Some states allow you to repair, "and that means that you hire a professional to expand the existing system of air-conditioning repairs, then deduct your expenses can deduct from your income. So if you your rent is $ 1000 and artisans will pay $ 500 is entitled to deduct the reimbursement of repair costs and pay only $ 500 per rental.

I searched and I do not see a clause that would repair and deduct, in Colorado, but your local community may have allowed such a clause, and it is possible that the lease is something to that effect.

I have broken the terms of his lease for the health and welfare of injury and can be successfully argued that the lack of air conditioning to be enough to break his contract. In any case, you must notify in writing the owner and to repair them enough time to win. Send all correspondence by registered mail with return receipt and keep copies of all correspondence.
